I’d agree with @Ascotta05, just tighten them down and you should be good to go

 

mine were like that but like said above, once tightened down, they are fine. I did have one that was kinda bad so I did a little TLC on it and had zero problems with install.

Has anyone plasti dipped their dash trim? I almost went for it but was too eager for mount install

 

Anyone know what ever happened to the power module that FMT was working on?

 

That happens commonly but it is not detrimental to the integrity of the mount, in your case however that seems a little excessive, the plates should still straighten out when you tighten the nuts underneath. Let us know if it causes any problems during use or installation though.

 

Even I can't answer that, I am still working on it man but I've been busier than I wish I was...

 

Anyone have a dash mat and a dmm installed? I’m debating between cutting off the lip of the mat or punching holes in it.

I had a little bending to do on the brackets but yeah, about an hour in total with beers

 

I know a couple of people with mats and they cut a slit on the mat for the ball to stick out.

I know tons of people have done it here, it should be too hard. My trim is orange already and I ha-pen to really like it, if I had a gray trim I would have done this already.

 

Punch holes in it. That’s what I did and it looks slick. I only have a single mount, but I imagine they would all look good.

It works for me... Don't forget to add the ! in the code ( merica! ) and of course the minimum $75 of stuff. I'm just deciding whether to get the magnetic swivel holder or the regular swivel. This is the discount I've been waiting for.
