What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Where did you find this wheel? What year did it come from. Looks awesome.

 

I bought them at walmart buddy I believe they might be these I payed about 20 for the wiring and switch as well it's a nice cheap mod! You can see where the red glow is I mounted the switch next to the power plug

Installed was near $700 at a local shop. That was with the parking brake bypass, proper harnesses, dash bracket, backup camera.

 

I went from this...
to this.. I used fallout remover, clay bar, Power Lock Plus sealant, Collonite 845 wax. I also used the paint pen I’ve had for a couple years to fix some scratches. Now I need to get around to installing my new UCA’s and my new CV shaft and rebuild the factory one for a spare.
Oh and today I noticed the powder coat is coming off of my skid plate in a couple places and it’s rusting. I’m thinking of powder coating it Silver to match the truck. What say you TW?

 

Kuntrykid it has car play for iPhone and also has a version for android run phones that runs off of your phone apps that are compatible with CarPlay. Waze and Google maps runs thru the touchscreen. Pretty nice. You can also use Siri and speak to reply to text as well.

Looks good, but having it fully sealed up can actually cause it to rust out from the inside out faster

 

how is that possible? Don’t question the randyfab.

 

In all seriousness that would mean that everyone with LCA skids would have that problem. As the skids use those holes for mounting bolts and seal them up.

 

That's just something I have been tough by some old timers that were teaching me fabrication stuff. Gonna have to do some reading about it.

Did my rear bumper and bed lights last weekend. Fender flares are getting the bed liner treatment next.

 

By the time these rust out, I’m sure I’ll be ready to upgrade to something else.

 

Yeah... the kind of axle that isn’t independent.

 

Lol Hell no. I’ve already decided I’m never going solid axle. I’d go LT before any of that mess.

 

I believe LT will at least be a mild mess but I could be wrong. @Marlin Crawler RCLT is wicket tight but not for the faint of wallet. I’d like to see that on your truck someday.
