    Hello everyone,

I have a 2010 Toyota Tacoma TRD Access Cab V6 Manual truck. The truck has a 3" lift. I have a set of tires on stock rims for winter driving and I have a set of tires / aftermarket rims for summer tires. I have been running Nitto Trail Grapplers 285/65/R18 for the last 8-9 years and the tires are getting to the point where I want to change them. When I first purchased the vehicle, I was doing a lot of offroading. However, now I am driving predominantly on the highway with less than 5% of driving being done offroad.

I am looking for a recommendation for a new set of tires given my situation. I do not care about snow performance as I have a separate set of winter tires.

I am currently entertaining the Trail Grapplers again (I mean they did last 8-9 years!), the Ridge Grapplers, Terra Grapplers, or Toyo AT tires.

    Thank you!

The question is, are you after a specific look?

If not a good set of street tyres is the best option as these will give you better MPG and smoother ride.

If you are after a more aggressive look, then none of tyres listed are bad. I like the Falken Wildpeak AT3W.

Thanks for the response. I am looking for at least a bit of an aggressive look. If the truck was stock, I wouldn't care as the tires would be under the wheel wells and the truck would be at stock height. However, with a 3 inch lift and 285 tires, the tires stick out past the wheel wells. I think anything other than an aggressive AT or MT would look a bit silly.

I’ve had a few different AT’s. The General Grabber AT/x were my favorite for a few reasons. Durability, overall performance (dry road, snow/ice, off-road), and comfort were excellent all the way around.

I run the Nitto G2. I drive a mostly highway. Got 60k on first set. Also tires should be replaced every 5-6 years regardless of mileage.
