These always seem so hit and miss, I have brokered insurance through a small company on the cruiser and I'm fairly sure that if I got in an accident my adjuster would be the same asshole who sold me the policy, fuck he probably owns the company too.

Obviously I wouldnt commit until Ive done my research, read reviews etc. My moms side of the family used to own a small insurance company, so using the small companies is how we've always done it.

No I meant did you leave it running? You want everything to stay hot for emissions testing

Need more info. Are you saying that you found some under valve covers and wanna know what to do? Are you saying what's the best way to make sure it doesn't happen? Or?

Yep, got it nice and hot on the highway and kept it idling in the line. It has a weak battery from an electrical drain so I don't like to start and stop it unless I really need to.

I found a penny jammed into the bottom of the cig lighter so I wonder if that was shorting out and draining the battery.

If you suspect sludge don't put any oil treatments in, anything freed chunks that end up in the pickup tube will ruin your summer. Ask me how I know.

The last time the cruiser was emissions tested, and it was officially the last time it ever needs it, the lady couldn't get the probe it fit far enough because of the resonator and because they dont have a 4 wheel dyno it wasn't under load so I just passed cause it was all too much work I think, although she said it ran clean haha

Oh it has full time 4wd? Lol.

Not sure how they handle testing the ls with the factory dual exhaust, I guess they get 2 probes out

Lol, WA doesnt make you test anything 25 years or older and in 2020 they discontinue all emissions testing entirely. I think they figured out it wasn't working and having dynos around to maintain and workers to man all the stations was just costing money when it was so easy to defeat the testing.

Interesting, in CO I think they have a hard year cut off (1985?) And anything newer gets tested. I can't help but feel like it's a waste, doesn't seem to keep old cars off the road and is more likely a revenue generator. It's bullshit because diesels need to be tested every year but the state doesn't do diesel tests so you have to go to a private Dyno shop which is $50-200

I think NC is if its made before 1995 or less than 3 years old its gtg. But testing is only done in a few counties nearest the larger cities (mine).

The testing was only $15 in WA and if you fail you can retest for free, so I don't think that was enough to offset anything, and diesels were exempt. The dumb part was if you had OBDII all they would do is plug in, no sniffer or load test haha. And we all know what it takes to make the downstream sensor read happy

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
Indiana tried to rid us of emissions. Only 2 county’s in Indiana have it. Mine and the one next to us. But Chicago came in complaining that it’ll hurt them.

We have a 90-95% pass rate...
