From my research they were the only ones to make the VT, vertical style open tail gate concept.

I’ve only found some still... avaiable at truckcandy.com

Price seems high but it’s 1/2 of Wilco cost for the 2nd gen model Wilco still makes

How wide is the jerry can holder? And what size is that tire? I'm looking to do something similar but instead of having a jerry can holder I want a yeti 35 ice chest holder. Trying to figure out if I'll have enough space to mount them both side by side.

    A few.
The jerrycan holder inside dimensions are: 14” deep, by 13-1/2” wide, by 18-1/4” tall.
The tire is a 285 75 R16. Maybe they could fab something that fit the dimensions of the cooler properly? That said I have an Engle 19 qt drybox cooler that lives in the back seat of my x-cab. I’m thinking about welding up some angle to create a frame for it to sit in back there with the jump seats up. My other idea is to just mount some small tie down points to the bench, and secure it with some short (2’) NRS river straps. I like the convenience of being able to reach back from the front seats to grab a cold drink while driving, as opposed to stopping. My Yeti 75 rides in the bed on extended trips.

Yeah I'm thinking I'm going to have to make my own swing out and move the tire to the right as far as possible to fit the ice chest on the left. I have a 65 for my bed as well, just looking for something for day trail runs and stuff like that. Thanks for the response!

    Hi Wade,
I sent you a pm. I was interested to see the backside of the bumper, specifically the spindle side. I want to see how they reinforced it to hold the weight of the tire carrier.
    Thanks.

Here's my rear bumper with it's Jerry can holder and tire carrier. Not my work, it was custom made by the previous owner of my truck.

Does it swing out somehow or do you have to remove it to use the tailgate?
