    The magruder is a highway. A minivan could do it. The side trails though might not be a good idea but they could make it to Burnt knob if they are confident in their driving. Haven't been there in a while so might not be a wise choice depending on the suburban's ground clearance.

    But be fine on the main road and the road to Paradise.

    Unless there's a mud issue a Camry can make it across the MacGruder as I recall. The main road isn't a big deal.

    As previously mentioned though the side roads can be a different story.

    probably gonna see some snow in september. as long as they have good tires they'll be fine. i would worry about the stretch between magruder crossing and obervation point the most because its all up hill, lots of switchbacks and the mud can get slick with a good amount of precipitation.

    When did you trade in for a quicksand haha. I went out with a group from Helena this weekend. 1 Jeep Rubicon RIP, another Cherokee broke, and all Toyotas made it no issues. Went out to middle fork river Judith Gap with tons of water crossings. The water levels were pretty high and halfway up my door at some points.

    Sounds like you had a good time,did you take the Tacoma or the Runner? We had a family reunion this week and I took a bunch of my cousins up there in two trips,they all had a blast. 2hr round trip from the cabin...
