MESO Puddle Light build

I have that range problem and I don't even have the Puddle Lights yet. Same with my Lexus IS. Every now n then, it decides to throw a fit. You can be point blank clicking your remote away and it wouldn't do a damn thing. Even with a fresh battery on the remote.

 

I haven't had any issues before or after puddles. Original batteries on my fob but I never really use the buttons, mainly lock and unlock with direct contact to the handle.

 

I'll update after I wash mine. I think my delay is due to the layer of dust/dirt and has nothing to do with the puddle lights. I don't really use my key fob much, but it works just fine anytime I have used it.

I have been having a delay and also had to push multiple times to get to lock or unlock. But I have been having these issues since before I’ve added the puddle lights and before the minimalist fob. Interesting that other taco owners are having the same issue. I replaced batteries and no change. Again this has been happening before any meso mod any other mod for that matter. I even started to use the spare fob and it’s same issue.

 

going to look into It more and see about reprogramming the fobs but might try a replacement like this

Guys I have the same problem with doors not locking using the key fob or touch pad on handle. But when the interior lights time out, you can lock the truck with fob or by using the touch pad on handle as normal.

 

Same here I figured my battery’s are getting low, I have not changed them since the truck was new.

 

I also have the delayed lock issue. Seems to lock the second the dome lights shut off. If I turn the bed light switch to off, it locks immediately every single time. I've been having this issue since before the puddle pods though. I assumed it was related to the power tailgate lock mod.

 

New battery in fob had no effect for me.

 

Some locations the fob works better than others.

I've been able to unlock the truck from as far as 100 yards in some places, yet in Long Beach when I'm fishing it doesn't reach 20 yards. I think there maybe an interference issue with other waves.

 

The issue I reported is strictly the puddle lights not turning on by proximity or by unlocking the door by pressing the key fob unlock button.

My doors lock/unlock PERFECTLY, just that once in a blue moon the puddle lights do not turn on until I open the door physically and it doesn’t have that issue until once every two weeks maybe..

My puddle lights will not turn on if all 4 doors are already unlocked, even if I push the unlock button on the fob again it will only beep and the lights flash but no map light or puddle lights. If I push lock then push unlock again then it will work.

 

Why? No reason to have a mechanic on these trucks, they'll last forever.

 

The puddles would be helpful for me during solo boondock camping -- although to preserve night vision a red filter lens would be nice.

However camping with nearby neighbors presents a problem. Since the puddles cannot be turned off, a kill switch on the +12 constant signal seems like the best solution. Otherwise, neighbors are automatically hit with 5500K high lumen glare when I walk by or open the truck?

@MESO , I know dimming is not in your vocabulary. Is color?
