    Man that's a bummer. My drivers side chain tensioner was sitting up a little higher than the passenger side but still had some cushion to it. You can see the difference in the pics I posted

    Yeah I looked at yours hard trying to figure out if I was making something out of nothing. In the end, it’s not perfect so I won’t go back together with it until I can make it that way, gonna go ahead and replace both sides. The earliest my local parts house can get them is Tuesday so I’m hoping San Marcos Toyota has a set and I can get them tomorrow. If not my truck will have to sit until I get back from work in a week and a half.

    Wait. Passenger side Should be tensioning down right? On the slack side of the chain. You're saying that you've got no upward pressure on that side. Driver side tensions upwards.

    No downward pressure on passenger side. That and the top pad broke so now it slides over into the rear of the intake gear.

    I totally agree that it would be fine without the retune just wouldn't maximize gains, My thinking is if it were to be sold to someone without tuning capabilites would it potentially kick on a check engine light etc?

    So I’m trying to understand all of this from an OHV standpoint. We’re increasing overlap, but is that also altering what I want to call lobe separation angle? I know that’s an OHV term. Clearly it seems to work.
