Just don't ever open the garage, how would they know? I rarely open my garage so HOA can't see my machines but not sure if they are an issue. I rather not find out. Can't see them really from the street if my garage is opened though. I just prefer no one in the neighborhood knowing anyway.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
We should all be so glad, it's like living in one of those sterile Utopias where everyone says they're happy but are actually dead inside and ready for another civil war to free them.

My HOA is pretty lax, the pres lives a few doors up and has never said anything about me arc welding in the driveway, or leaving vehicles on jack stands over night.

Not to start a political argument, but Ive said it before. Unfortunately, the people that live there only have themselves to blame, as their responsible for voting those eco-weenies in, and they keep voting them in despite BS laws.

they don't enforce it now... show me one news article about a person in sac county who was cited for that code section. its on the books and like the muffler one, probably has been for some time. just another piece to enrage enthusiasts. just my 2 copper colored coins of course...

and with that, I'll refrain from commenting further - dont want to end up like the crow

I think ours is too. I used to work on cars all the time & never got a complaint. I've even primered one of my old cars in the garage. Lol. The only letters we ever got were for a big oil stain on the driveway & exterior house paint. The house paint they send out every 10 yrs automatically though.

The sad thing is all the Illinois people are moving to Indiana to get away from the taxes, but they keep voting in tax increases!!! I went from no county tax to 6% in 4 years! And they’re talking about raising it again!

That's every (former :() low tax state. NC is getting flooded by yankees that love to complain about the north, but will gladly put very similar people in office down here.

Me neither if I had a 3+ car garage. I do open my garage, I just really have no need to open my garage often these days, can't pull a car in it anyway unless I move shit outside like when I need to jack up my truck & do work.

Excuse me sir, your lawn is 1/32" too tall. Either mow it today or get a $400 fine for every day that it isn't cut.

We have a hoa. But it’s not strict. Just can’t have a fully fenced yard or a shed that’s too big... other than that that’s it... and the fee is like 10 bucks a month.

I keep looking at 10-20 acres in the middle of nowhere. Pretty sure that’s where I’ll end up

Ours doesn't do anything to enforce any rules. Just a friendly reminder letter every year or so. Despite lawns up to knees, dogs off leash/tied up all day, screaming children at all hours of the day/night, speeding, litter/leaving large trash piles by the curb for weeks on end etc. Youd never guess this neighborhood was part of an HOA just by driving through. If I was old enough, Id run for pres and start issuing fines left and right.

But in general, no hoa is best hoa. As long as you keep your house nice and have common courtesy towards your neighbors. Neither of which happen in my neighborhood despite the hoa.

Agreed. All it takes. Should be a given. Especially that common courtesy part.

Dude I can get 20 acres of usable wooded property for like 50 grand. That’s a fucking steal. And land loans ain’t shit compared to mortgages
