No no, we’ve already been down that road with trailers. The only reason we got an HVAC was for the wife. I am gonna add a hot water outside shower though. It will be nice to be able to leave it ready to go so I can take my boys out more often without having to load up for a day. This was a way cheaper option than most “overland” trailers.

Evening SATX! Got my tires "cleaned" from the trail ride, and the little yellow light is telling me it's time for Discount Tire time - 3 sensors for the road, a new spare, and one sensor for that one!

On that "cleaning note" - who has the swell way to clean tires from dry caliche! Car wash soap and scrub brushes was pretty mediocre - I'm sure one of you experienced ones knows better. Actually, HF mud came off the tires just fine, but body and frame took forever! This, kind of vice-versa!

 

Do U-joints, carrier bearing, and timing chain tensioners count as fun?

I’m actually off this weekend but the truck may not be mobile till Monday depending on parts.

 

1. Maybe, that's all things that are supposed to work until I am even older, and don't have to do it!
2. Tires all hold air, and I cleaned the K&N! So I am mobile.

That said - HOME will be the agenda tomorrow - have fun at SATX C&C without me. Trail run was my trip to SA for the month. See you next one! (Or sooner!)

I can’t find any tensioners in stock anywhere. U-joints and carrier will be done, oh and idlers and belt. Trying to quiet the old girl down a bit.

 

if you can't find them by themselves then look for a water pump cuz they normally come with the water pump kit

 

I know on the Camry and Corolla is the water pump kit comes with all that stuff

 

That’s my plan if SM Toyota is a strike out, that or let it sit till my next days off. Might be taking the T4R to SPI at this rate

 

I thought if you were in that far you normally change the water pump out anyways

I only did the exhaust side, so didn’t go that far in. Wouldn’t need tensioners but I screwed one up putting it back in.

 

Duct tape and chewing gum
