Sad that people have to pay someone else to tell them how to live like a decent human being.

My plan is similar, looking at just dropping a prefab or something. I don't give a fuck about the house so much, I'll make it how I want it inside. I want the land and a shop

I could see living on a country road a few miles from town being nice. Can still get some acreage yet still be somewhat close to civilization. Honestly though Id be happy as long as Im 100 yards or more from my neighbors. 20 feet between homes is horrible.

That's part of wanting the land, I'm not a farmer or anything. I just want it so others can't have it.

I dream of about 3-5 lightly wooded acres which to me is an easy to manage size. A one floor ranch style house with detatched garage/shop. A large vegetable garden/chicken coop. And a 6 foot iron bar fence around the entire property, with a smaller enclosed area just off the house for the animals to run about. Oh and a gated driveway too.

My plans the other way around. Buy some land in an area that will see development in the next 20 years. Sub-divide the lots into nice 5 acre parcels. Wait 20 years till I retire then sell off the parcels. Buy a house in Chile or Argentina and get the fuck out.

5 acre parcels? You could easily quadruple your money by going smaller. Around here people are totally contempt with 1 acre or less as long as the house is 4000 square feet with at least 3 floors, junior gets his swimming pool, and mommy has a garage for her new model year BMW suv.

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
I want to build a steel frame house like what my parents built. But later on, first would be a decent size shop with a loft...

pissed with my dad because he invited my grandparents and probably some other relatives to my house tomorrow and only said something after I was leaving dinner and my grandma said see you tomorrow. He was like "oh yeah I told them they could come over to your place for lunch tomorrow hope that's ok"

Just said ok and left because I didn't want to cause a scene by saying no
