Ronald is now much more agreeable to us, more so wifey than me, but some smoked salmon has helped with my cause.

Happy “adobtiversary” to my buddy Ollie. 3 years ago today we brought him home. Took a couple weeks to get him acclimated to Ponce(RIP) and Auggie but now he’s a force to be reckoned with!

Just got hit with another earthquake in SoCal about a half hour ago...was petting 2 of our cats on the bed and all 3 of us looked at each other like WTF is happening?? lol. Wasnt very big here but it was bigger than the one yesterday out in the desert where it was centered.

Heard it was a 7.1 but since it was more remote there’s not too much damage thankfully.

Yeah luckily it was out in the high desert again. But those poor people in Ridgecrest got hit hard 2 days in a row now...a 7.1 is considerably bigger than the 6.4 that wreaked havoc on LA back in 1994.

Scary thing is that both happened 2 days in a row. Didn't really feel the one at our house yesterday but tonight it was very apparent. Our ceiling lamp was full on swinging

We had one “local” in Virginia back in 2011... it’s the only time I’ve personally experienced an earthquake...
it was a 5.8 and just rolled through Philly with very minimal damage.
I was standing in the lumber aisle of one of my Home Depot’s and saw the overhead lights swaying back and forth... pretty tame actually but something I won’t ever forget.

Yeah it's a surreal experience for sure...having the earth beneath and all around you start shaking and swaying. I could imagine not feeling very safe in a Home Depot when that happens lol

We had a 6.7 here in Costa Rica On June 25th. Struck at 11:23PM and woke us up out of bed. . Whole bed was slowly shaking back and forth..Like a slow rolling motion. Things were rattling in the house. Reports say thst it was felt throughout the whole country.
It was definately a weird feeling.
Glad to hear that you're all safe and sound

Here's a graph l found explaining the different intensities:

Was over at my pops place to help him with some grout replacement in his shower and I felt like I was being watched...

    The laser-wielding culprit: Junior
    [IMG]

Got some pictures of the rest of my Dad and Step Mom's furry family while I was there.

Facing me is Camry. Barely visible just to the left of him is Grey's rumpus. Both of them are fraidy cats although Camry will at least come out at night to cuddle when I stay over to cat sit. Grey is incredibly elusive though and I'll forget she exists.

Here's a better picture of her. She's a Torty but is predominantly dark grey instead of black like most Torties. Her shyness has not been helped by the arrival of Junior who is a very outgoing and energetic cat. At least she has Camry to keep her company.

The much less elusive Houdini. He will come and say hello after I hang our for a few hours but tends to forget me and avoid me upon initial arrival. He's a sweet "little" escape artist. In the background you can see Ozark. I didnt even realize how candid this photo was until viewing it later.

    Last but not least, Zoe.
Here she is doing her best Drillcat impression. She's a total attention hog and will do everything she can for pets. She has the cutest, dopey-est face and I cant help but pet her.

Honorable Mention for the Honorary Cat:
Ozark. He's an old man now but still a cuddly pup. Softest dog I've ever pet and aside from the borkin' he's pretty much a housecat too.
