Felt tonight's quake all the way in Henderson. All the chandeliers in the Green Valley Casino were shaking like hell.

Every 10 to 12 minutes they are getting hit with aftershocks.

They are saying there was a bunch of gas lines that ruptured and there are a few homes burning. Hopefully everyone one got out safely.

Wonder if any climbers are on Mt Whitney and if so hope they're okay

There are climbers throughout the Sierra this time of year. This earthquake activity makes a strong argument on setting up camp in a non-rockfall area.

Fat Bob's lift kit, 30's on stock steelies, lunchbox locker in the rear, and a ton of other general mods and additions to help the utility of the truck for my particular uses.
Felt the one yesterday. Was at the los al military base setting up a pyro display for the cities using the facility when it hit. Was great being out at the end of the runway during it. Nothing to fall on you and you can see the ripples in the ground.

Felt the one tonight. At home in Fullerton and everything was moving over here. All safe.

Please make sure you and your family are prepared in case you need to leave your house/apartment. They are anticipating additional aftershocks and possible new quakes stemming from the Ridgecrest region. They suspect it has woken up that area dramatically.

Oh shit. People do realize that you and I live on top of the second largest caldera in North America right? I've always wondered how the Long Valley caldera would react to major earthquakes. Might have to go check the temps at Crab Cooker tomorrow. If there is a tomorrow. lol

We were in Landers, camped on the dry lake bed at the hammers. It was quite a ride.

I remember the earthquake swarms in Mammoth during the Eighties. I hope we don't go there again...

Exactly. I figured buying a house on top of a large super volcano would be a sure fire way to not have to see the end of days. If it happens I can promise you I won't feel a thing. lol

On a related note I wonder if anyone has even checked on Trona yet?
