I've only seen scorpions in CA a couple times out in the desert but never here in the city. Fire ants yeah...see those fuckers around. But compared to TX where those two are way more common I'm content with their presence here.

 

Those fire ants are vengeful. They don't drown either, they clump in the hundreds and thousands and float. Noah didn't take two of them on his ark because they survived anyway.

 

No kidding, I remember our backyard in TX got flooded one year and when the water subsided there were fire ants everywhere outside...it was like a goddamn plague.

 

My mom would go after them with the butcher knife from the kitchen...I never got stung by one but my sister did.

So all this time we thought that was poop in the water, it was really fire ants

Worst we got here is the brown recluse spider. I got bit by one of those as a kid. I hate bugs because of it. Luckily they caught it quick enough...
