Best of both worlds. Even if you want it offroading you can put it in the bed to try it.

Keeps the bed free. Spare under the bed. It's all good.

I like that, a removable design. Take it out when I don't need it. I guess the compressor is going in my toolbox, would've been nice to fit it in the cubby hole.

You can try and put it there I'm not confident it'll fit.

If you fire up your welder, you can weld on some bike folk mounts to the tank mounts and use a bike fork clamps to make a quick connect for the tank mounts.

Even if it did fit, I'm a but concerned about airflow. Heard the cooling fans on those are notoriously bad.

Any tips on taking the elocker out. I've taken the cover and two other bolts off. Disconnected both wires. Been beating on it with a mallet, tried using prybars to wiggle it off still no luck. The reason I'm removing it is it would not engage, the light on dash kept blinking. I was able to take the sensor/actuator out of the top the one with the small electric connection press it in and the light stayed solid. So my thinking is since I've never really used it it's just froze up. Thanks for any help

Jacked up, tires off the ground? If not, do that and spin the driveline. maybe it’s bound up.

You trying to take out only the e-locker actuator, or the entire 3rd member? If the former, it may still be engaged if it won't come out.

Just trying to remove the actuator. It never engaged in the first place. Never heard of felt anything and the light is flashing.

Installed the aluminum TRD battery hold down this afternoon. @Coupe does a nice job of building these hold downs. Perfect fit.

Installed a skid plate this afternoon. Nice work by @22REthan. It feels like it improved aerodynamics for 80+ MPH interstate driving.

My GF has been complaining about a “slight” grinding noise when braking while driving my old prerunner the last few days. Finally had a chance to pop off the tire today and found this....

    989E6CFA-5473-439C-A75D-4BE450FBF7F0.jpg

Poor bastard had worn down to the backing and started to dig into the edge of the rotor. I had suspected the caliper of being on it’s way out last time I did pads(wearing unevenly) and this confirmed it. Swapping out calipers, rotors and pads tomorrow and my throw a set of ss wheelers lines that having been collecting dust while I’m at it.

Best part is that she is really pumped to learn how to fix all this stuff. So we have our day planned tomorrow. It’s nice to have a wiling partner while doing this stuff haha

I wouldn't put it under that compartment. Not enough airflow to keep ambient air coming in.

I bet you will have enough room under the bed for the compressor. The spare tire sits at least 3" below the bed floor. Add a remote disconnect to somewhere convenient and hopefully you'll never have to lay eyes on it again.

There may even be room for a 3 gallon tank under there somewhere. I'm thinking behind the driver side of the tcase.
