Fat Bob's lift kit, 30's on stock steelies, lunchbox locker in the rear, and a ton of other general mods and additions to help the utility of the truck for my particular uses.
San Diego is pretty far away. At most they would feel extremely mild rolling, but nothing that would cause damage.

only felt the 6.9, and noticed when stuff was swaying in the garage. i put a brita filter on the counter to see the water move with the aftershocks. high tech.

Here's something interesting and was mentioned earlier by @theesotericone about the Long Valley caldera

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long_Valley_Caldera

The map below is the most recent map of the location of the 6.4 and 7.1 Earthquakes and aftershocks noted by the red & orange dots . The valley its located in is the Owens Valley and the red line you see is hwy 395

Now look North and you'll see hwy 395 form a Y ,that's near Bishop and the southern edge of the Long Valley caldera , Kinda close huh ??? only 190 miles away

One can never have too many light bars.
My parents are in Elk Grove (south Sacramento) and said it’s shook enough to splash a bunch of water out of their pool.

We live closer than they do in Pasadena and our house shook enough to notice but not enough to pose any kind of threat or danger. I doubt they felt much of anything in SD

Us too. Well...it's looking more like it'll be northern CA for us, but that's still better than socal in my mind. I'm so tired of LA lol.

My wife is from a small town in Northern CA called Grass Valley, not too far from Tahoe (maybe 1.5 hrs). Were thinking of maybe going there esp since her mom and brother still live there

Felt plenty of Quakes when I lived in California, and a few in Oregon. Few things get your attention quicker than the earth moving around under you. I knew a friend in a highrise in San Francisco about 20 floors up when the 1989 quake hit there. She felt the entire building swaying back and forth. Scary stuff.

Yea we're looking mostly out of state, looking for better access to the outdoors, skiing, camping, etc, lower cost of living, and home affordability are our priorities.

And Mammoth is right there and semi-active. There are several examples of ancient super volcanoes out west, that's one, Tehama, estimated at 20,000'+ is another. Lassen is just a cinder cone at the north end of it. There's a lot we don't know or assume we do know about things we can't see, map, or measure directly. Some of the most desirable places to live on earth are near former sites of cataclysmic events. Personally, I'd think visibly active places like Yellowstone are more of a threat but flying between northern and southern California it's hard to miss the San Andreas zipper zone. Knowing that east/west of it is different tectonic plates that we know are in motion and the other fractures that exist around it are just as likely to creak some places pretty much the entire state at some level of risk. I hope that area is past the worst of it though.

I don't wanna think about a super volcano, or the "Really Big One" they say will hit the Cascadia subduction zone some day. They claim everything west of The I-5 would be toast.

Ahhhhhh, it's only volcanoes, grinding tectonic plates, earthquakes, nuclear power plants, nuclear waste storage, nuclear weapons storage, and tsunamis. Have a nice day.
