Could also drill/tap bigger and install a helicoil threaded insert. That would be a more permanent solution.

Changed the fluid in the front and rear differentials and the transfer case for the first time at 30K . Happy I did. 20190705_174350.jpg 20190705_170218.jpg

The manual says to inspect it every 15K and replace every 30K IF towing, heavy vehicle loading, driving on dusty roads etc. I decided to play it safe and conservative and just change it at 30K to get all the break in crud out. You can see how much is stuck to my drain magnets and that's far from the worst I've seen on here, some people have way more gunk with way less miles.

It was expensive enough that I probably should have just bought the RXT leaf pack instead of the AAL...

I didn't really track it as I bought it piecemeal over a few months. I also have the fronts and a camburg UCA to do.

No pics, but I made it happen, finally, sort of.....just got back from vacation and catching up with things around the house. Had about an hour to finally take care of the AC drain mod. Been really hesitant to use the AC, as I wanted to take care of this first. I guess I picked the best day to do it since it was 92 degrees, according to the truck, and humid. My truck is now 9 months old and I've been driving around with the hose and clamps under the rear seat for about 8 1/2 months of that. I realized my floor jack is buried in the garage, so figured I could slide under on my back and take care of it without removing the front passenger tire. I was truly hoping to run the hose thru the cross member as I've seen done here before and I just didn't have enough room to pull the hose thru the opening that can be seen from under the hood. After an hour or so and soaked clothes from sweat, I "settled" for just running it along side the frame rail, zip tied it away from the exhaust and cut it to length. It works as it should, but my ocd will make me revisit this one later in the fall and reroute the way I really want it done, but for now it's piece of mind, as its definitely AC time here finally - Cheers gents! I'm re-hydrating with a Sam Adams Summer Ale - Bill in MA
