1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

Mine have looked like that for many years, got like that because of Pismo. I only finally decided to do something about them last year after I repainted my bed bar & was bored.

 

You can't technically anodize steel. Just electroplate. Can buy plating kits from Caswell or put together your own setup for like nickel plating.

 

This forum used to be cool. Now its "What have you done to your rope hooks today?-1st gen edition" Despite my efforts to ignore certain members its still all I read about lately. What is this, 1 and a half weeks now? Move on already.

 

LOL - Oh c'mon. I'm trying to bring this to a conclusion today. Well, maybe for me anyway.

i am trying to keep these hooks as magnetic as can be so I can put the fancy little unicorn magnets on them!

i will still need to figure out how i am supposed to get the broken off piece from the back that is wedged in there, maybe have to take off the tailight housing?

 

The problem is people still wont let it die. All advice has been given, yet nothing seems to be "good enough." Do I post about everytime I fart in my truck? No. Not everything has to be talked about on the internet for weeks on end. The clerk in the paint section of home depot couldve solved the problem in 5 mins, but no, it has to be dragged out on the internet for weeks on end.

I have no idea what's good these days. The last time I worked on a RSX was probably 2004-2005.

 

I remembered my good idea that would probably be a popular decal, lemme draw up a design, can you do two colors?

 

yeah, I have to cut them separately and manually layer them but it can be done
