That reminds be, I have the stuff to Parkerize if anyone wants me to Parkerize their rope hooks. Anything to get you all to stop talking about it, FFS it's a damn hook designed to be weathered on a truck that hasn't been made in over 15 years.

That's cool! What did you get into parkerizing stuff for, guns? I hear the process is some pretty toxic stuff! Wish I did need stuff pakerized. ATM I only need some stuff black oxide & satin chrome.

thought it'd be a fun hobby or way to make a few extra bucks and a buddy happened to be selling a vinyl plotter as he was moving so I picked it up and started teaching myself

My grandfather is a gunsmith so I got the tools and chemicals from him. It's honestly pretty mild compared to the stuff for industrial bluing. Barely even smells. I just use it on interior metal car parts and some light weight under hood stuff like brackets. Holds up real well actually to the elements, not as good as powder coat but better than spray paint.

Frayed/cut tie downs that have rusty hooks because the rubber coatings broke/ weathered off.

Mine are now ready for ceramic coating tomorrow. It's been raining all afternoon. Humidity is way too high.

My Tacoma neighbor buddy stopped by with his 4x4 5 MT that I took for a stroll. That's another Texas truck with a freaking PERFECT FRAME that is better than mine. Somebody needs to buy it that needs a good frame, motor, and trans. I told him to post it in the TW classifieds.
