    @BassAckwards

    I used to get 400 miles to a tank myself when I had a 4 cyl.

    I also used to get 400 miles to a tank when i had mine stock. It was around 20mpg no matter how i drove it.

    Now with 295s and 4.88s its about 15-16 around town and 17-18 on the hwy

    The easiest way to answer is to post my 2019 fuel log. It's a 2010 PreRunner I-4 MT-5. I generally fill up when the gauge hits 1/4 tank, but on 5/19 you will see 408.9 miles on "Trip A" (miles since I last filled up). That's the only time the low fuel light has been on.

    325 miles on a tank. But that’s with bumpers, sliders, and 33s on a 4 inch lift.

    IIRC it was around 375 to 400 per tank.
    That was just at or right before the fuel light would come on.

    4x4 vs 2x4, most forget some of drag around an extra axle. I saw 400 once, a long trip DOWN the Salmon River, then down the Bitterroot. Then there’s all that extra iron and cap. Average never more that 18, but always pretty close.

    I converted my 2x4 to 4x4. I kept religious track of my fuel mileage for a long time before and after. I can say definitely that adding 4x4 made no difference in my fuel mileage. I could still get 24-25 mpg if I drove conservatively. The lift and added weight of bumpers and sliders made a little difference (maybe 1-2mpg). Bigger tires just straight killed it. I’m lucky to get 18mpg on the hwy with 33’s.

    The right way to compare is MPG, but....

    4WD, and I get 400+ per tank mostly highway and I got 500 highway one time- but that was pushing it :) My odo reads high, so the 500 was really 480, and I'm sure I put at ~21 gallons in it. I "top off" the tank by ~2 gallons after the first click. In the winter, if I use it as a daily driver for work, 15 miles one way, the mileage suffers as said- and 400 probably wouldn't happen.

    I usually get 360-400 miles (580-640 km) before the fuel light comes on, which takes about 17.5 gallons (66 liters) to fill. My average MPG has been around 22.5 for the past couple years. Fuelly shows higher average MPG because that is a historical average for my vehicle and includes the good old days before blended fuels (E10).

    Well then my gas gadge was all messed up because my gas light use to turn on at 420km then I noticed the gas gadge started to slow down and now when I’m around 400km I’m still at 1/4. I’m guessing it’s working right now. I always thought I had a 60 liter tank on my 2010 4cyl because when I’d fill up when the gas light came on I’d only put 55-57 liters in. But then some one told me it’s an 80 liter so I figured I’d ask people to see what’s going on

    80 liters (21.1 gallons) is correct tank size but you'll never get that much gas in the tank unless it's been drained or replaced (fully dry).

    Ya I always thought it was 60 because when the light turned on I’d fill it with 55ish liters so it must have been reading wrong then. And now it’s reading correct from what I’m gathering

    12.8 gallons at 329 trip a. Right at 27 mpg which would be 486 at 18 gallons, 540 at 20, or 547 coasting to a stop.

    Usually around 400 miles per if I fill up after the light comes on (which I try to avoid as I like my fuel pump.

    Based on my math I average 21 mpg in town. I have an 06 4cyl, 5spd Mt, 4x4 access cab with camper shell...stock suspension and steel wheels with load E tires.

    Oh, and the trip up to Ft Bragg had a load of hogwire on the topper roof plus a full bed and cab. ~1000lbs and maybe 850lbs on the trip back. Needed 45psi in the air bags to firm it up.
