Recieved mine and installed it Went in pretty well Had to tweak the bar on the actuator a bit, but other than that went well Didnt have a bunch of excess wire left over but had enough to make it and use the extension. Thanks again.

There are a few members on here that provide a pop-n-lock kit for your Tacoma.

She was pretty lax when it came to communication with me. I paid and didn’t get a response for about a week. Took about a month to get the product. I was told she was on vacation, and I’m sure she does this on the side and doesn’t dedicate all her time to it. So I gave her the benefit of the doubt since so many members were happy with their kits. If you don’t want to wait I’d just look into another option.

I don’t think you are. I mean I paid in full and couldn’t get a response and then was told my order was shipping 2 different times and both deadlines missed. I’m just saying that this is the status quo for her product, so either wait it out or don’t.

Patience my fellow Tacoworld member. Feedback has been exceptional. I would rather wait for quality than receive crap shipped quickly.

Installed mine yesterday and ran into the actuator arm issue as well. Appears that the actuator end may sometimes leave too much play for the lock to move all the way to the lock position (mine made it about halfway). After bending it a few different ways, looks like the fix is to bend the “L” end of the rod around the hole where it attaches to the actuator, thereby minimizing play. My rod isn’t straight anymore and may be a little weaker due to the bending, but it does seem to work. This mod is a nice solution to what should have been standard from Toyota.

For anybody buying a Tacoma, this mod and the remote start should be your first purchases.

I’m sorry. I will. I’ve been crazy swamped with taking the week off and then the Holiday. I’m not meaning to not get back to anyone. It’s just taking longer to get caught up this first week back. Trying to get caught up behind the scenes rather than posting everything upfront. Hoping today at work isn’t as busy so I can use it as a day for responses. This whole weekend is designated for my Tacoma Mirrors that I have almost complete and plan to ship all out on Monday. I was hoping to have them all shipped by today, but missed that deadline :/ with the Holiday.

No. It’s only been a week. You act like it’s been a month and (1) I was on VACATION (2) there was a HOLIDAY (3) I don’t live on this FORUM (4) I have a LIFE too (5) I think I get back to people within reasonable time given the fact I have as much as I have going on, (6) I have a full time job, a family of my own, etc., and (7) I will get to my messages when I get to my messages.

Technically I said this week and today is still Friday. So it is still Friday and this week is still this week until Saturday. If I’m not replying fast enough for you guys then there are other options out there. Like others have stated. This is a side gig that I do. This is not my only thing I do and your PM is not my only PM I have received. Try receiving over 300. Now you respond to 300 in one week and then once you respond to one you get a reply from that one and they want another reply from you again that same week. You try your best and that’s all you can do. I do a pretty good job, I think, of keeping up with my list and shipments. If you can’t tell with the Tailgate Lock Kits that I have sent out. Give me a little break and a little bit more of a time frame than just a week. After all, it’s just a week

Posting this here also because this thread has all the traffic:

I've finally installed my full kit but ran into a couple of issues--the length of wire from the actuator to the backup camera harness on the tailgate is a little short (based on the heat shrink spots to fit through the harnesses). I was able to get them plugged in but it was a stretch. Not that big of a deal but there is quite a bit of slack on the plug-and-play passenger side door end.
I'm also running into the issue of the actuator bar not locking the gate. It will unlock every time but the angle or length is off. Does anyone have pictures of how they bent the bar to correct this?
