Did some camping & exploring last month at Anza-Borrego Desert State Park with another 3rd Gen Quicksand friend and two of our Jeep friends. Also, got to install the new Front Runner Outfitters Slimline II Low Profile Roof Rack about a week ago. It's not as sleek looking as the Prinsu, but it can work together with the FRO bed rack that's already been on the back since last July 2018. The lower profile compared to their previous/original Slimline II roof rack helps in providing more storage space while still allowing for clearing the garage gate at the apartment building.

    Just got some new tires.

Thought I would (once again) note that quicksand is a perfect match for dried red clay.

Recently installed the Front Runner Outfitters tall bed rack legs, replacing their shorter ones, to get a little more height. It helps improve visibility looking out the back window from the rear view mirror and creates more storage space on the top deck of the DiamondBack HD cover underneath the bed rack. The front cab panel of the HD cover opens up way more now, too. The FRO bed rack has been on the DB HD cover 24/7 since last June/July 2018; they pair up well as an overlander setup.

Note: The people at Front Runner Outfitters advised that they will only sell the short legs for their truck bed systems if the user is only doing their load bars system for this custom setup on the DiamondBack covers. For safe structural integrity, they will only sell the tall legs if you get the full tray with the load bars which completes into a bed rack system. Last year, I chose to do the "buy once, cry once" and just bought the whole bed rack system knowing I'd likely get more of their gear accessories for the bed rack in the future. While they trust the strength and durability of their products, I was pretty much the only one using their bed rack in this custom setup. They've never done their own R&D for this custom setup. Thanks to Mike at LLOD on YouTube, along with me, he and others are now doing some free R&D for Front Runner , ...I guess.

This setup is barely clearing the apartment building's garage gate. If I get aftermarket suspension, I may not be able to add much height, if any at all. If I should get new tires, then the biggest tires I should get for now to clear the garage gate may be 33's.

Finally got rid of the red. Had a few problems with the letters not wanting to come off the paper No matter what I did so it did t come out perfect but I doubt anyone will look that closely. At least it’s not red anymore anyway.

I’ve been dreaming about buying a quicksand but now want a cement. I think it's just a grass is greener.

My new 19. Bought it Sat and debadged it already. Dealer pinstriping will go next. Then the search begins for a Sport hood and a Pro grill.
