That seems to be the logic I'm hearing too. Well, lucky for me Darwin missed his opportunity to execute some natural selection. The moral of the story is, do your research! Choosing a shiny green highlighted route on a map that is advertised an alternative route probably doesn't qualify as research (which is what I did).

I had no idea it was coming. Was driving the truck to Home Depot when it started. Got hammered with golf ball sized hail. Eventually found cover under the drive through pharmacy at King Soopers.

Once the hail lowered in size to pea size I continued on. Eventually came to a flooded street where I crossed water, for about 500 yards, that was up to my sliders.

Guess I should turn on alerts on my phone or something. Or wish my weather dork friend told me something.

Any best gen guys have any tricks to getting the front doors off? The driver’s side door on my third gen 4Runner was basically ripped off by a fifth wheel in old town FoCo yesterday. GF was street parked with tires touching the curb, dude switched lanes as she was opening the door, trailer swayed nearly sideswiping the truck ripping the door out of her hand and bending it all the way forward. Nobody was hurt, thankfully! Found a door at Yota Jim’s today and am looking at swapping it on tonight. The door panel is cake, just looking for advice on the actual door. @jubei @Deathbysnusnu @Squeaky Penguin @TMFF @thefatkid @SilverGhost
    Any help is appreciated!

And yeah, fender is jacked too, but I’m not worried about that at the moment. The door’s bent so bad it’s not even close to shutting.

Yeah, it was a bit scary! Then with the hail last night my truck got hammered. Not a good day for Toyota’s in my house yesterday.

Pull the inner panel off, un clip the wiring loom for radio, locks, etc

Then it’s a pin for the door “catch” and then 4x14mm or 12s can’t remember.

Can be done with one person and beer

The bolts are all under the front fender and easy to get to, 6 total I think.

Thanks @crolison and @TMFF real easy! Just waiting on the new door. I kinda like this look. Bob the rear, cut off the top and make it a crawler?

Got it done. Alignment was a bitch and thankfully we took the hinges too because the original ones were tweaked pretty bad. A couple issues with this door, but I’ve got the old one I can swap parts out of if I have to. It’s driveable, so it’s good for now. Thanks again @crolison and @TMFF
