how well does the phone mount hold a phone in landscape mode? I kind of want to get one to use my phone as a camera when i go offroading once in a blue moon...

 

The phone holder comes with a few different sized legs, if you use the shorter legs you will have a tighter grip because the spring mechanism will be compressed as much as possible for that device. Depending on what kind of off roading you are doing and your phone or case, it CAN hold the phone. If you have a very slippery phone or case, the grip strength will be less. But try it out and it it doesn’t work, let us know and we will work something out with you so that you end up happy.

And for on-road driving it will hold it without a sweat

Thanks, I will. I'm going back and forth between the DSM and DMM since the DMM would look better as it spans the entire length. Has anyone found little plugs for the unused holes?

I just received my DMM with the 180 degree wire. Can't wait to get this installed. I've looked through so many pages between this thread and the other one, I believe another 55 pages. Does anyone have a video or some help with running the cable behind the audio and where to come out? Thanks so much.

 

I’m looking for a picture that someone posted I know it’s here somewhere but the easiest thing would be to use one of the cutouts of the DMM on top and make another similar cutout on the lower passenger side of that same trim piece so that the cable can come out real close to the power outlet
