Surprisingly no. The shaking was really mild by us, maybe because we're on a hillside. According to the USGS map I am about a block away from one of the MMI 3.5 contours.

There was just a bit of noise from the jack stands. The roller dolly I was on didn't even move. I didn't realize what was going on until my wife ran out and asked if I was OK. So it was more scary in hindsight rather than at the moment. Lots of folks got it worse, but yeah, I set out every spare jack and jackstand before getting back under that truck.

    Stay safe out there!

Sounds like some dude just blogging to be the one who said “X will happen”. If it does he’s famous for free.

This person accurately predicted the big earthquake in Ridgecrest and now is predicting a 7.5 or higher earthquake in the next 5 -6 days . He bases his theories in plate tectonics

He sure sounds legit. And I'm not making any judgement here whatsoever. But an observation-- I'm really surprised that he gives weight to effect/impact of drilling activity. It's just such a small scale variable.

He cartainly sounds better informed than the other guy. Time will tell whether his conclusions are correct. As far as drilling goes, maybe if it were just a 12" hole drilled 1000-2000' but they pump water in as well. That can turn to steam and force its way into a larger zone. Oil wells can be injected as well and they already open into seams. The old eruptions are much larger holes but fewer in number, the drill points and mining number in the thousands and many of the quakes aren't any deeper than the drilling. Fwiw, I'm guessing the entire area is pretty fractured anyway so it may be moot and whatever energy is bouncing around just needs time to find equilibrium. I certainly wouldn't perforate my foundation that way. Whatever else happens he certainly gives us something to watch for.

Was just on the USGS website and noticed that Indonesia had a 6.9 magnitude earthquake at 0800hrs our time this morning . Also strong aftershocks plus the island of Fiji with a 5.3 magnitude earthquake a little while ago

With this guys earthquake forecasts I wonder how these two events in the South Pacific plays out for us in the coming days

The Fiji island earthquakes are at a depth of 516km or 320miles and the Indonesia Earthquake is at a depth of 35km or 22 miles

Is this guy a scientist or just talks about what's on the website and keeps repeating everything all the real scientists have said before?

Michael Yuri Janitch. A lot of sites call him a fraud. I dunno. Type in his name and his picture comes up with a lot of hoax talk.
