I am going to tint my front windows and want to match my access cab's rear windows. I have searched and found 20%? I dunno I have seen some trucks with 20% and it looks too dark.

You must bear in mind that the stock tint is impregnated in the glass, while aftermarket is a film applied over the glass. The exterior may match quite well, but the interior will not match. The only way to make the rear match from the inside is to apply tint as well. You could put 20% or less on front windows and 50% or so on the rears.

If you want nobody to see you than put 5% all the way around.

you can go to the tint shop and they can tell you what percent you will need to match it.. When i took my car in to get 20% put on it.. he told me the car had like 60% on it from teh factory so adding 20% would actually be like 16%

On my 05 Access cab I had 20% and it matched up close to perfect from the outside. The shop is now using 22% so that is what I'm going with on the new one.

Should have said in my post above, It also depends on the Brand of "window film" the installer uses. My friend got 35% on his entire car, we got it done at different places, and his looks darker then mine does from the outside looking in.

i got mine done today and from the inside they do not match. they put 20 % in the front. What would be the recipe to make them all even from inside and out and keeping it legal?...

I had mine done yesterday (and my previous 09 done three weeks ago). 18% matched up perfect. I also went with a 5% strip on the windshield.

^^ I dunno I think each shop may be slightly different depending on makes of the tint because I have 20% and it is slightly darker than the rear and a different color. My front is grey while the back is more of a brown/grey tint.

Yep, as close to perfect as it's going to get anyway. I can't remember what brand the shop uses but it is a carbon tint, he says he's used quite a few brands but keeps going back to this one. He is actually able to tint a camaro rear window with one piece using it so it works pretty well.
