finally washed it and discovered I didn’t escape unscathed.

Nothing too major, a little crease on the passenger door.

Yes a little more damage on mine after washing. Well I'm going to know that part of the trail as the winch hole . Our tires couldn't find the bottom but I couldn't believe stepping out on it and not sinking up to our knees

I parked on the street and let the heavy get rid of most of the mud. Now I can take it to a car wash and not get kicked out. May do that today. I know there's some scratches lurking.

Hot as hell. I keep wanting to go north. And hit up UP Michigan again. I think that would be a fun meet. Though it’s a long ass drive.

Last year’s trip, there is plenty of great stuff to do, breweries to visit and fun to be had. We did a little off-roading near High Rock bay.

    Michigan Trip

    Saturday
    Leave drive to whitefish point

    Saturday Night

Arrive and Stay outside Tahquamenon Falls (TBD, need to figure out campsite)

Andrus Lake State Forest Campground W Vermillion Rd, Paradise, MI 49768

Secure campsite, drive up to Whitefish point to check out lighthouse, swing back

Or camp at North shore of lake superior dispersed on W wildcat rd
    We stayed here.
    46.763213, -85.021967

A permit is required to stay on state forest land. This is a spot you can camp in the Paradise area. It is good for tent/car camping. I would think a trailer could make it down the dirt road, but turning it around would be a problem. I believe I saw a fire ring here too. Follow the road to whitefish point. About a mile before the point you will see a historic building on the right and Wildcat road to the left. Follow Wildcat road past the bogs/cranberry farm and you will reach a spot where the road connects with the North Shore of Lake Superior.

    Closer to the falls

    Paradise, Michigan

    GPS: 46.641113, -85.126612

    Sunday Morning

Do upper and lower falls -Dog Friendly

Upper Falls, McMillan Township, MI 49768 (Tahquamenon falls)

    Sunday Afternoon

Great sable banks and dunes Accessed by ⅓ mile trail from sable falls parking lot.

    Sunday Night

Stay somewhere near sable falls (TBD)

    Or stay in Munising
    We stayed here.
    https://munisingtouristpark.com/

    Drive to Copper Harbor, Michigan

    Eat Pasties
    Brick house brewery is great.

    Tuesday evening

Stay at Keweenaw rocket range or High rock Bay

    Wednesday Day

    Explore Copper Harbor Area,

Manganese Falls -Access is a bit steep

    Brockway Mountain Drive

    Brickside Brewery

    Estivant pines LOL -Dog Friendly

    Montreal Falls

Turn right onto Lac la Belle Road off of US-41, just over 20 miles north of Calumet. Follow Lac la Belle Road for 4.3 miles, bearing left at the fork, and then turn left on Smiths-Fisheries road about 3 miles after the fork. This road is not marked but is the last two-track before the paved road turns sharply right with Bete Gris beach. Drive down Smiths-Fisheries road, keeping on the main track and bypassing the parking area for Bare Bluff. The road ends at a berm after 4 miles near some fenced-off cabins.
Follow the trail past the berm along the lake shore. For a while the trail is the remains of a rocky two-track, blocked by the berm from erosion concerns, before turning into a footpath winding through a cedar forest. The walk to the falls is about a mile. If you want to visit the upper falls too you can continue on the path upstream, which stays on the western bank.

    Wednesday Night

Stay at Keweenaw rocket range or High rock Bay

    Thursday Morning

    Drive to

Lake of the Clouds, Carp Lake Township, MI 49953 Pet friendly leashed, no state buildings

    Arrive Mid day

Hike a trail? We hiked the escarpment trail. Incredible trail, 4.5 miles one way, 1600 ft elevation gain.

    Camp nearby that evening (TBD)
    There were campsites available.

    Friday Morning

Drive to Ex gf cottage in Wisconsin

    Friday Night

    Stay at cottage

    Saturday

    Chill at the cottage

    Sunday

    Drive home.

One weekend in RRG would challenge and damage every vehicle expedition overland has. Prove me wrong. This place is serious. Lol

Sorry, went to Bosnia for like a month. Back now. Trying to re-learn the internet machine.

If it ever cools down I'm game. If @Bandido can't make it we need to recruit someone else with a winch just in case.
