is this a good deal?

Going to start out by saying I know nothing about audio for vehicles as this is my first vehicle. Just curious if this would be a good buy for me, and an easy install? I have all kicker door speakers and I mostly listen to rap. I want some bass nothing extremly loud but i like nice bass, and I would also like to know if I should get another smaller amp for my door speakers?

 

Is it a good deal on the price? Sure. I don't think you could buy the subs and amp on their own at that price. Would I run anything kicker really? Probably not. I'm not saying they make bad stuff but their motto is "living loud" which isn't really my style. I prefer good sound over outright pounding ability.

However, looks solid if you're just looking to rattle some teeth. I'd be very cautious though to make sure it's not used equipment. That price is scary low. Certainly a good deal if it's legit.

 

Howdy ItalynStylion! But reading the fine print the subs and box are supposedly new but the amp is a referb unit.

 

^There we go, good eye. I knew that was too low for all that stuff. But if it's a true refurb then it should be fine I'd guess.

 

Its not a bad deal, and a buddy of mine just put the same subs in his silverado under the seat and they sound real good. he is running the same amp to but with Tsunami 0 Gauge wire. and referb units arenta always bad as they are brought back up to factory specs and should still have a warranty. i run a single 12" L7 and IMO kicker is pretty good!

 

yeah i seen the amp is a refurb but they are a kicker dealer, so it is probably dirrectly from the warehouse, was curious to see if anyone else has used or order anything from this site

 

Kicker is bad IMO, i think you'd be better off with buying a Digital Designs or pioneeir. With sound you get what you pay for.

 

Yea ive baught a few things from them and a few people i know have ordered from them.

 

well i like kicker, love the door speakers i got for the price i got them at. and since i got all door speakers i want the same speakers throughout. and yeah the amp is a refurb and does have a warranty that comes with it.

 

Then go for it. Post up a build thread when you put it all in!

cant wait to see, but remember they will sound better after a month or so once they break in! and i ment to say cvx's not cvt!

 

Digital Designs FTW! But just my speaker costs almost as much as that whole package. lol

 

i like digital designs i had one of there amps and it was pretty beast!

 

I have to disagree. I have been installing Kicker products for years and have been very impressed with them. I havent had much experience with digital designs so i cant comment on them but Pioneer subs and amps NEVER get good reviews.

Back on topic....it looks like a decent deal if you dont mind the refurb. They are hit or miss sometimes.

 

amp has warranty for like 90 days, but i really like the box. and speakers and have an amp laying around if it dont work out. still waiting on arrival=) stoked
