@thefatkid what size wire and breaker do you have for your lift?

 

Getting very subtle/pulsing vibrations in the steering wheel between 45-50. Stops when I put it in 4wd. Is my needle bearing doomed or should I put in a diff drop kit and see if it goes away?

 

Needle bearing is doomed.

 

I don't remember. Want to say either 20 or 30A breaker with the appropriate recommended wire to meet code, though not permitted.

 

Started happening as soon as the new tires went on

 

Maybe try getting them rebalanced first then. Cheaper/quicker/easier than the needle bearing and it cant hurt.

That's a pretty solid percentage...

 

Even if it isn't broken, he needs to swap it anyways.

 

I wont argue that. But if it didnt start until he put those tires on, it could be the tires.

Edit: I forgot he cranked the springs up more. I now more solidly vote needle bearing.

 

True, but I think the fact it goes away when he puts it in 4WD almost seals the deal on the needle bearing.

 

How long do I have until it self destructs? I drive 80 miles/day for work and will be out of town this weekend (driving). I guess I’ll go ahead and order the ECGS bearing and go from there..

Drove by bench #1 on Friday. Almost exactly 2 years since it was made, and it's still there. Unfortunately there was someone camping there, otherwise I would have grabbed a picture.

 

I waited at least 5 months before I did mine. So you "Should" be fine.

 

I lifted 20k ago and haven't had any vibrations yet, although I did a diff drop too (for whatever it's worth).

I know it's only a matter of time and I should just get it done. "It's next on the list, I promise."

 

Typically not urgent just annoying. I drove mine for about 3-4 years that way until I finally sucked it up and did the work.

 

The car was gone by the time we showed up but parts left imbedded in the grass indicate it was a Honda car.
