    You may call it destroying but I see it more like the cost/entry fee to see some great places that most never get to see and climb trails that aren't crowded.

    For me, if I want to have a clean ride (that does a much better of handling what a street would throw at me) I just take a different set of keys off the rack! :p :D

    One story I love to tell...

    years ago, I borrowed my friends 4 month (or so) old pickup to move some things. On the way back to his house I had to stop quick and a peice of gym equipment that I was giving to him (the owner of the truck) fell and put a 'v' notch in his tailgate.

    I was soooo embarrassed and promised to buy him a new gate and get it color matched.

    He thought I was crazy!!! He wouldn't have it. He thought I did him a favor since now he didn't have to worry about it.

    He just gave that truck to a gardener in the neighborhood - it had over 250,000 miles on it! Oh yeah, it still had that beautiful notch in the tailgate!! :eek: :)
