    So, I surpassed the halfway mark between 99K and 100K on the way home from Quarryville last night, and my damn tire pressure light started acting up again.

    We just had to put our dog to sleep a little over a week ago. Mandy was barely a year old, but she had rare and progressive congenital kidney defect. She started to steadily go downhill last month, and we decided to end her suffering before it got really bad.

    We adopted her in September 2018, we noticed she was drinking excessively a short time later and took her to a specialist in October 2018. She was diagnosed with Congenital Renal Dysplasia and given anywhere from 1 to 5 years to live. She was put on a low-protein prescription diet and did great for months, but then she developed anemia in May or June 2019. She spent most of her time sleeping because she was so tired. Her back leg muscles started to atrophy and she started to resemble a skeleton. She refused to eat her prescription food and the vet told us to just feed her whatever she would eat.

    We had her cremated privately and expect to get her ashes back sometime this week.

    I have a new Collie, but he is still a puppy. He still needs his training before he can be my companion animal. Plus, he gets carsick real easily. Maybe next year when he is grown up and trained.
