Seems like theres always a trade off. I read a bunch on different threads here that option one flattened out real quick. And option two rides real good even empty. Im planning on sliders and rear bumper so i decided to go option two. We will see. At least I know how to take them apart now.
    Edit: This is turd gen?
    Yup

I brought home a new tool chest last week. With that and my rack I was close 450Lbs....ummmmm...would not recommend that on a daily basis :) It rode ok, just had a pretty obvious droop.

    Icon states that
I drive with a least 200Lb all the time, also I carry 500Lb some times, some weeks I unload the tools when I don't need them to save on gas.
How much did it go down with your 450Lb?

I emailed icon and let them know what I'm using my truck for and added weight to my truck. Went off their recommendation and it's been perfect. It did take a few days to get a reply from them though.

Swapped to option 1 this weekend. Added 2.5 degree shims while I had everything torn apart. Seems to have reduced the vibrations. they're still there under heavy acceleration at low speeds and on the highway, but not as bad. Plus the ride is already better, so thats awesome.

Also soaked everything with fluid film & greased the pins before putting it all back together. Hopefully that will keep the noise down, but we shall see how long it lasts.

I have option 3 with 450lbs permanently in the back (topper and 2nd battery). I reinstalled the factory shims. No vibration for me. I'm in a 2017 OR

Any of you guys experience the bounce effect on freeway type roads? I’ve got Option 1 and removed my stock spare months before the install. I tried throwing my full-size spare in the bed and still had the bounce. Today I had my full-size spare, a foldable tent and 3x 13 gallon bags full of empty beer bottles in the bed and still had the bounce, a little less toned down but still there.

I don’t have that. Actually a nice smooth ride with my fox 2.5 shocks. The first 1500 miles it was slightly stiff but the feel fine now and I only run around with a 82lbs of stuff in the bed.

I mean it is smooth on regular roads. Weight in the bed plants it from jouncing over potholes and bumps. It’s mostly the freeway type roads how it’s sensitive on the segments. I had a full Icon setup months ago and now have King’s, and I kept the RXT leaf pack as is

Guess it depends on what you mean.. My back end definitely bounces around a bit on expansion joints in bridges. Worse if they arent perfectly perpendicular to the road, obviously. More weight makes it a bit better.

But when you say segments, do you mean like concrete roads? We dont have those up north so I cant really comment on that
