will have to hunt down a good welder to get it back to like it was and safer to drive without my stupid left side cracking every time I shift the gears

Yeah, are the seats structurally different? Can parts of the seat(cushions w fabric) be swapped? Or parts only interchangeable within those certain years? I haven't looked close enough but I imagine you have to use the whole seat

 

these SR5s have lumber supports and a bottom part that moves up and down

 

His has the lumbar knob, doubt those will work on other seat frames without lumbar. The cushions on the 01+ buckets I know for a fact are interchangeable. Im using a passenger cushion on my drivers seat.

are you talking just the inside cushions are interchangeable?
my passenger seat is non adjustable except the recliner
the bottom seat part is different

 

internally i believe it is, have you removed any cushioning or the back fabric to see?
it should be metal just like the bottom?

I dont think the seat backs come off easily. It looked like the foam couldnt even be seperated from the seat frame. If its broken on the inside, Id say that seat is toast. Probably would cost less just to find another seat then it would to fix it.

Remember what I said about how a set of drivers seat plastics would pop up near me after I paid $135? Welp, entire seats in less than a week is close enough.
