    Fishing report?
    No fishing this weekend.
Did add 50’ ( total of 100 ) to the new fly road.
I was on the backing on the false casts..
    Made a couple of leaders.
Albright knot is my new fav knot to join line.
    Trilene knot for flies.

Maybe I can sneak out this week and get some dusk fishing in..

    Evening all:

    That's comical!
We had one parakeet that my grandmother taught to talk, I think one of the things it could say was "pretty boy", maybe there were others.
Geez, that was about 65years ago.

When I was in high school, we inherited Gus (another parakeet) from my dad's boss. When dad would sit down with a beer in the evening, Gus would shout "Oh Boy, Beer." He would fly over and run down dad's arm for a sip every now and then. Eventually he was unsteady and had to be helped back to his cage. Everyone thought that was funny. My mother changed her mind when she served iced tea to the preacher one day and Gus spoke up.

    Morning all:
Here's an interesting story about another parakeet we had.
I had an old train set and would put the tracks on a makeshift ramp and give the engine a good shove down the ramp with the parakeet inside the cab of it. Sometimes it rolled off and ejected the parakeet, which immediately went back inside the cab. For whatever reason that bird enjoyed the ride it was getting and would keep doing that over and over.
One day we found the parakeet dead on the first floor hallway, it had its wings clipped and got out of its cage and fell from the second story walkway which only had a banister along it, go figure!

Just saw this one and found it amusing.
Joe invited his buddy Bill over to try some Himalayan deer stew, when Bill commented about how good it was and asked about how it got its name Joe replied "because I found himalayan along the road".
I know, I know, but there have been many road killed deer processed in our area, the best ones are when the car in front of you just hit one!

Back in the early 90s we lived in the old town of Summerville SC. While standing at the sink I saw a car stop & the driver jumped out & picked up a dead raccoon by the tail with a set of post hole diggers. He threw the carcass on his truck & drove off. Later, when I told the story to the director of a museum house, he said " I do that too, makes for some good eatin' ".

    Good Morning
    Thank you Gary.
Missed the June Copper River dipnetting. Couldn't get away while grandkids were here. Randy went with an inexperienced crew, and they didn't do so well. He wants to try again sometime later this month. Hopefully my schedule will work for that one. We did well at Whiskey Gulch, no monster halibut, but limited 2 of 3 days, came only one short of limit the other. Weather was gorgeous, always one of my favorite trips.Randy's son in law and two grandkids next to boat, my grandkids left before this trip, hope they are here to go with next year.

Morning all. :hattip: Loved the Himalayan deer joke Carl. Too many road kills left to rot when they could feed many if picked up.
Was watching the news and weather this AM and seems Alaska is having a bit of a heat wave Rob:D. Time to break out the shorts and beach chairs...

It's ridiculous hot...one of my Chief's told me it'll be like this until the solar flair cycle ends...in 7-10 years. thinking I should invest my TSP in Alaskan Orange Grove futures. And we might need to rethink this no AC thing.

One of my favorite menu selections at the local Texas Roadhouse steak restaurant is the "Roadkill". Sounds awful but is very good. It is a chopped steak smothered in grilled onions, mushrooms, and gravy. My favorite sides with it is mashed potatoes and the loaded sweet potato with butter, cinnamon, caramel, and melted marshmallow.

Making myself hungry just describing it.

Totally agree with the Texas Roadhouse. Ate in several different ones and never got a bad meal. The Road Kill is one of my favorites as well Gary. Mashed potatoes and cole slaw are my favorites with it. Hamburgers and steaks are quite good as well.
