I've been out for 2 weeks, barely even did any walking. Going to hopefully start again today depending how I'm feeling. Not looking forward to it. Leg days back are always the worst

I stopped for 8 months. Didn’t really do anything except tv and beer. So I’m also pretty fat now. A sweet combo. Fat and weak. :anonymous:

I love it but I’d be putting over nigiri or on fried rice

Fermented cabbage in a spicy hot pepper sauce

I'm trying to do a mostly paleo diet right now, so no rice sadly. But this shit's good plain. Really good. Costco didn't have the giant fucking tub of kimchi when I went yesterday sadly. Will have to try again this week at another Costco.

So. Time for a weekly discussion

Not a vegan or a PETA activist. But this whole plant based diet is spreading.

What’s yalls opinions on it? What would your daily intake be like without any meat source? Have you tried it ?

It would be miserable. Paleo is hard enough and I'm only a week in and barely succeeding. Plant based just sounds awful. I love red meat too much.

Just rowed for 10 minutes, holy fuck I'm tired. First time doing any real physical activity. I don't think I'm fully recovered yet either unfortunately as my head is now starting to hurt a bit. Going to take it easy again this week with some more light rowing and maybe some light weightlifting. Fuck concussions.

Have you ever had a black bean burger? They surprisingly taste really good and can taste like meat. Only thing that tips you off is the texture is different

Nope, but I love steak. I don't do burgers too often.
Ya, was hoping I'd be good, guess not. I made it through most of work today, only had to take a few breaks. Definitely feeling better than last week overall though. Hopefully I'll be able to do some very light lifting tomorrow. Will try for some squats with just the bar and maybe 10s on there just to start getting some more mobility back as I've done nothing but sit on my ass for the last 2 weeks

Listened to a few people here and have been trying my best to pack on weight. Although I've only gained 2 pounds, I feel pretty good! Been increasing weight on almost every exercise minus obliques. Still running a lot though which is making it hard.

I've been eating close to 4,500 calories a day or so.

It's not for me. I believe it's harder to put together a proper diet that way, especially high protein with gains. But it can be done, and power to whoever likes to eat that way. I also like meat too much!

There is no valid reason to give up meat... so I won’t.

I’m a hunter and my family farms. I’ve slaughtered a pig and a steer, and chickens. I really have no issues with eating animals.

My big thing is sustainable farming practices mostly organic farming and primarily grass fed beef.

I try to incorporate some "vegan" meals every now and then into my routine. You can't be true vegetarian or vegan, you're missing too many essential nutrients. Plants just do not provide enough nutrients.

They are also hard to manage with high protein. Nearly every plant has carbs in it, and if you're trying to keep them lower... well... that's not easy. I do enjoy a really well cooked plant meal though, not gonna lie. If done right... damn they can be tasty.
