Might've been covered earlier, but I just purchased and installed. Super easy! I got the optional phone mount thinking it would fit ( cant find specs on it ) as of now it won't work. Am I missing something? Kind of a larger phone. With case length 6 and 1/4 width 3 1/4.

 

Did your mount come with different size arms? Can you put the phone sideways in the mount?

 

No I can't. It's about 2 inches too tall vertical and about an inch too short when attempted to be mounted horizontally

 

Well that sucks. Maybe Fresh will help you out. A phone mount that won’t hold your phone isn’t helpful.

Something is going on, the size you mention should easily fit in the holder, you might have to use the longer legs but it should still fit fine, did you try the longer legs?
If we can get a picture of the actual holder we might be able to see something else....

 

Holy crap. Ignore me. I was being very ginger with the phone holder thinking I would snap the legs off. I did not realize the actual mount was extendable.... it's been a long ass week alright !

Was hoping to see if anyone had pics of the charging wire install process? I just received mine just want to know the route where I should be running the wire to get it to the charge port. Thanks

 

Just placed my order for the DSM Static mount kit (which will suit my needs for now). Looking forward to receiving this simple piece.

 

Are we meant to pre install the studs before attaching to the dash? I really cranked these things down (while already installed) but didn't want to risk cracking the plastic.

 

Shout out to @FreshMexicanTaco !!! Had my Taco into the dealer today for the 5k service and Front Millimeter Wave RADAR fix. Was there a bit early and two fellow Tacoholics came by and asked about the DMM setup.

Told them about TacomaWorld and they were very interested. They loved how it blended to the top of the Stereo area and the mounting of my accessories.

Loving this mod each and every day and do NOT know what I would do without it!

 

I did that charging cable install. Unfortunately I don’t think there’s a specific route to take. Behind that radio it’s REALLY busy and full of wires and other components. I recommend pulling the radio out, and get some stiff wire. Tape your charging cables to it and fish it through the area behind the radio, easiest route you can find. It wasn’t easy in my experience, but worth it.

 

Didn't see if you already posted- are you selling them for those of us that bought one of your DMM's awhile back, or there a name brand that you recommend (not having compatibility issues) from Amazon, etc.?
