    have a question for the 1st gen people. i was finally getting around to my install, but i ran into a slight problem. when i'm doing the fender side brackets, i can't get a drill in there due to the hood in the way. did anyone just hit it at an angle or take their hood off? the pics show the drill going almost straight down for both fender screw holes, i can't get that, not even close. just wondering how it was done???

    Put mine on today. Its a little late, You probably got them on already, but we drilled at a slight angle because of the hood. But I am also a 2nd gen. could be a diff thickness there.

    I like these struts so much on my Tacoma that I just bought the basis model online for my wife's Taurus X. Really enjoy pulling the hood release, hearing a solid pop, and having the hood raised a few inches. No more fussing with the hood prop.

    With my luck a new gp will start before the end of the week.....but that's OK because this simple upgrade is worth the expense of paying retail ($81 delivered).

    No I don't work for the company, just a happy customer.
