Multiple things accomplished.....so a update

1. Windows tinted for heat rejection (including the windshield) a couple weeks ago.
2. Meso BD5 Ultimate third brakelight with BD designs Amber/Red/White/Red/Amber
3. Safety sense recall for the TSS (today)
4. Getting Switch Pro 9100 setup for install soon....had to paint the PowerTray for a cool look.

Decided to go with lift and tires next. This was always in the plan but patience is paying off.

3. Battery Mount
4. Some extra junk from Amazon....LOL

That's about it....will be trying to decipher APRS for my Yaesu FTM400 and searching for a simple tablet to run maps/APRS simultaneously....

 

No electrical mods except HID lights! But I’ve had those since I got it.

Just purchased and installed LEDs for my 2017 interior and license plate.

I removed the upper center console to install the meso switch panel, in order to install additional switches for seat heaters and light switches. I did this work last month and didn't have time to post on here so here it is a month later. I've documented the install process below.

This was Meso's recommended method of installing the switch panel, which I followed (Meso pic)



Removing the various dash/center console pieces: all pieces pop off easily

First - I removed the center console








Next removed - side panels


Next removed - Glove box in order to release the upper center console


Next removed - Upper center console




I transferred all the switches to the MESO switch panel for fit




Now comes the hard part cutting the existing switch panel.
Slowly and carefully cutting off the old switch plate using an ultrasonic cutter

Used an ultrasonic cutter to remove the old switch frame, I opted to cut from the rear following the existing switch plate line







Switches installed on the new MESO switch frame and placed on the upper center console for mocking only, next gluing it down.

Gluing completed, I like the way the final product turned out


While I had all the dash panels removed this was my opportunity to install my new start - stop ignition button. The red button is automatically illuminated upon entry into the vehicle. Pricey little mod but well worth the look.




I also installed and finalized the tailgate pop-n-lock harness by @KTJO 4x4 this made the connections to the OEM harness painless Removed old red wire splicing connectors


Installed the new P-n-P wiring harness - nice clean look and wrapped any exposed wires with electrical tape

Lastly I snapped all the panels back in their respective location without any issues.

Installed seat heaters, switches and associated wiring with relays, etc. all switches and heaters work great.
