    Correct me if I am wrong, but I was under the assumption that TRD injectors with the TRD tune running 2.7 pulley with AFE CAI and 255lph pump had the injectors operating at over 90% duty cycle. Likely not enough headroom for another major mod like cams. Meaning larger injectors should be used. What I am less clear on is if the O2s will calibrate the ECU for the larger injectors, or if that will then also require the tune. Thus then safely adding cams in my case also has the pile on affect of adding larger injectors plus tune.

    Really I should get an injector duty cycle reading, my first attempt at that did not work.

    I think you will still be in the comfort zone. My ipw #s have always been just fine. Cams are custom to spec orders. Mild is totally possible.

    With a 2.5” pulley and TRD injectors the duty cycle at WOT in my truck was 95%. Switching to 640cc injectors, duty cycle is around 65%.

    I went from a 10% duty cycle at 60mph to 6% with 650s.

    It has to be wild enough to justify the cost, but mild enough not to lose low end.

    Cams or tuning can be adjusted any way you like. If anything my truck is more mellow for street commuters use. Yet wilder when I want. Best of both worlds.
