Looks like a really early Cessna 150.

It doesn't have wing struts though? Or I can't see. :)
Edit: Maybe the weeds are hiding the struts? The tail does look like an early C150.

    Def has wing struts.

All too common scene. I have worked at 3 GA airports and they all have areas that look like that, hell we had a portion of the city GA ramp at MDW that had some planes rotting away on it.

Hey guys, I was wondering if ya’ll had some suggestions of study material that breaks things down Barney style for weather and TAFs?

I haven't gone there yet, but MzeroA has a free online portion that may help - I only am aware due to youtube and Jason's videos. He's got a decent way of explaining, so his online 'ground school' might be solid.. I also have no clue your background, or experience. I'm just trying to get as much free-prep as possible to make a possible career leap...

I’ll have to look at it! Thanks!

Just doing the part 107. Background...I was in the military for most of my adult life. Sectional charts are no problem. Weather like when it’s asked about temperature inversions from the coast going inland or something is what confuses me. I’m not a weatherman.

I used this online course: https://cessnaflighttraining.kingschools.com/Index.aspx
    and this book: https://www.amazon.com/Private-Pilo...coding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=99H49B5APKBTSZXD64P9

The book was cheaper and more informative

As an aside, I flew naked today. Was a strange feeling.
Flying without a watch just feels weird.

Curious what branch. Considering a transition and well, may pursue Naval aviation if A) they'd take me and B) I'd be in Flight. Or I just keep acting like I'm working in IT and build hours much slower...lol

I second not being a weatherman!

    Navy.
I didn’t do anything with aviation. I was just a combat medic.
Landnav is easy, finding things on VFR is even easier. Anything is better than having to pull out a protractor.

Just finished reading Frozen in Time last night. Excellent book. Highly recommended if you enjoy aviation/military history. Lots of people mentioned and passing between 1942 and 2012 throughout the book but very easy to follow. Zuckoff's other book, Lost in Shangra-La was also very interesting.

....^^^... Cool pics bring back memories .... I have a house and live part-time in Chiang Rai, Thailand and I go over to Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam sometimes ... and I see those Vietnam War memorials all over the place (especially around the bigger cities).

I served in RVN during my military days and WOW has that place changed today ... and for the better too.

Vietnam is actually a cool place to visit today.

The tower that's barely visible from where I'm standing is .5 miles away. There's a large hill right behind that that's completely invisible.

I was on a flight from London to Chicago this week and saw this piece of history out of the window while we were waiting to take off. Not the best picture but still got it.
