Thanks. We just booked the flights last night. From Orlando to SJ the SJ back home to NS. So it will have to be a trip up from Anaheim to SJ on the Saturday after the Friday night game at the Honda centre. But I'm ok with that

I would recommend the Fullerton area as a nice inbetween to LA and duckville. Have fun and notice how many more beatuful women are down south compared to the hella north.

So apparently a couple of funny things have happened this week.

One, Kadri admitted yesterday he blocked a trade to Calgary before the Leafs sent him to Colorado. It sounds like Bennett and Brodie would of went for Kadri and Rosen. I’m really glad that didn’t happen, Brodie IMHO had one good year and has been mediocre since.

Two, Marner would of signed an offer sheet with Columbus this week but he refused to sign for more than three years. Apparently it was for the same AAV as Matthews. So we know what Marner wants and, while he might not want to leave the Leafs, he probably will if someone is willing to give him a 33 million dollar 3 year bridge deal. He’s nuts.

It was for Brodie and Jankowski apparently. Also I think the Marner shit is BS. He didn't sign anything because he doesn't want to leave Toronto. I think if he was willing to sign it and the Leafs knew this he woukd be traded. It's all just trying to build leverage agaom after looking like an idiot when nobody OSed him

That makes sense. I did hear though from someone whose usually right about these things that the Columbus deal was in front of him and he only turned it down based on term. It had the AAV he wanted but not the short term. That being said those lottery picks Columbus would of given up would of been gold. No way they are a playoff team in the east next year.

Damn right. You could turn to a team like Carolina and get pesce with assets. Then look at another team for a top 6 forward. I honestly want the team to start the year without Marner now, just to see how it goes. I dont see them missing a beat. I really feel he is then out overrated top line winger in history. Love him but it's getting hilarious

I think Marner is better than Nylander for the Leafs and I think the leafs would miss his offensive production if he left. I doubt an offer sheet happens because of the cost in picks. Seems like a lot to give up along with the large contract. In the end I think the Leafs will figure out a way to get him signed.

Oh I believe so too but you cannot under estimate the value of being able to plug Nylander into centre like last year and his advanced stats were excellent after really not playing it for a year. Nylander also shot 5% last year which if he shot his career average of 11% he woukd have been at a 25 goal pace, exactly what Marner did without the assists which any plug playing with JT could have had the opportunity to come close to.
Marner is super skilled but when you start talking about paying him over 9 million, he would be the first winger in history to score that little amount and get paid that high of a % of the cap. While Nylander is at a respectable 7 mil
He wants to be paid like Matthews but he's not in that territory. Matthews just led the entire league in 5 on 5 goal scoring for 3 years (the most sought after thing in hockey this generation) while playing with 3rd line players. Matthews is actually better than most fans who don't watch him

Flames are insane. Neal (while small) has a hit of a chance to bounce back. Lucic is the same player and same effort but the game is changed and he's not effective anymore. Nothing he can do about it. Bruins seen it coming and got what they got. Sad to see but it's today's game

I think the Flames are trying to appease the part of their fan base that misses Ferland. That being said I agree. Lucic is a pylon. Just now instead of being construction orange he’ll be dressed in fire engine red. Still a pylon just a different colour.

As an oilers fan I approve of the trade. Pylon for potentially not a pylon.
