For now, I’ll just run the 1.5 in spacers. When the time comes I will go with the 285s and hope for the best. I have so much to learn, and usually I want to do everything myself but I really don’t want to screw this up lmao.

I feel like the little guy on here with my 265/75's on my lifted Tacoma & lifted 4runner. But my lifted Landcruiser has 35's, but when the time comes for new tires I'm going with 37's. My stock Landcruiser will clear 285's with no issues but I may go bigger on that.

Okay a little over a centimeter taller. Happy? Mr. "Had-to-cut-lots-of-shit-for-295s"

Edit: you edited after I quoted. I win.

To be fair, if people want to properly fit 285s they'd have to cut a lot of shit as well. But they don't.

Also also the MTP specifically measure out at 33.46" tall which is damn near 3/4" taller than most 285s.

@Colt.111 this is the man to ask about tire sizes on a 2nd gen. He is a lot more knowledgable than me because I drive a 5th gen 4runner and I didnt have to cut anything for 295s because of wheel well shape. He has a 2nd gen taco and has gone through this.

Even if I will never admit that he is better at this than me.

With my Tacoma & 4runner I'm concerned about mpg's so I didn't want to go with the bigger & heavier 285's. 265's dont look too bad.
