Jeez, that would be nice, I was hoping it was US or EU warehouse but no go. I would be good with that as then I can look to see about a front camera instal while I’m there

Started making my cargo net to go above my subwoofer. This will keep things I put on top of the sub box from falling out. Plus gives it a nice splash of color.

I built it from bulk bungee cord and bungee cord ends I got off Amazon, then I bolted them to some computer rack mount rails that I will cut and grind down to fit behind the plastic trim panel.

Got my box of noico straight from the Russian Federation along with my scoche install kit. The scoche kit may need some cutting to fit, but I wont know till later when I try to install it.

I got 18 sq feet of noico since I just intend to do the front doors for now. When I go to do the rear doors I may have to order more, But I should be able to get away with 2 sheets per door and then have a spare left over to cut up for the backside of the door cards.

Before I install the noico I do need to build some better speaker adapters, Im using the cheap plastic ones from Amazon. While they fit just fine, they are pretty flimsy. Im trying to decide on what to make them out of. Should I use MDF and seal them, or should I got with thick HDPE plastic. Im leaning to the HDPE as its strong, water proof, and pretty easy to cut with my router.

So I got my mounts installed. They do need to be cut shorter to fit.
You also need to trim some of the radio bezel. If you push the radio up to bezel and look at the back you can see what you need to trim.

More questions I couldn't remember the first time. Is it using your OEM antennas (GPS, FM)? For data is it utilizing the cell phone or do you have a SIM card for it? Thanks, dudes.

It uses the FM antenna that comes on the truck. GPS it has its own antenna (also has a 4g antenna). Right now I have both gps and 4g antenna stuffed into the dash untill I can pull the headliner again and put them up there. I get 11-15 satellites with the GPS inside the dash, so really good signal even in there.

Right now I dont has a sim card for it, but will be getting one soon. Just need to cancel my verizon phone and switch to google fi. Im currently on a family plan with my parents (im 35 and have been on the same family plan for 14 years) I think its time to get my own plan :)

Ive chosen google fi because I have a pixel phone already, and they offer a data only sim for free, it just uses the same data pool as your phone does. But one nice thing about the android radio is it caches songs from google play music so you dont use data if you have already listened to that song recently.

Cargo net done. The sub box fits right under it, this should keep anything I put up there in place. I had cut one of the server mounts the other day and was able to use my big air cutoff wheel, I cut the other server mount tonight and it was too late at night to fire up the loud cutoff wheel... so I spent like 45 minutes with a dremel cutoff wheel to cut it, I wish I had the big air tools right now. But its done, just need to reinstall the panel tomorrow morning, get some more pictures and enjoy the net.

And here is it all installed. The bottom bungee actually holds the subwoofer in securely too.

I don't think the sim card slot will do anything for us in the United States. Looks like it supports European and Asian LTE bands only.

While most of them seam to be foreign bands, there are a few in there that are also US bands. I need to get a sim card adapter so I can get test my phones card.

Well I hope it works. I ordered the radio yesterday! I will definitely use it if it works, but I think my plan is to switch my ipad plan to a hotspot. Then the truck will have it's own wifi.

Thats actually a pretty good idea... I may have to try that instead. Would be nice to have the kids on wifi for road trips.

Same here, I have a 5 year old than needs a lot of entertainment. Also you could upgrade to 5G when the time comes.

Im really trying to make a full car entertainment system, I need to get rear headrest monitors, but the options are terrible. I can get 9 inch screens with touch, hdmi, usb and a dvd player (no blueray). Its not ideal, but it will work.

My ideal rear headrest setup would be a monitor with 3 hdmi ports and a crosslink to have both monitors display the same thing. A headphone jack and a usb port.

I hate all the junk that companies are putting into the headrest monitors... I want basic future proof systems...
