Is that city wide? Sounds like more of an HOA thing.

I could understand neighborhoods deciding they dont want the sound of impact drills at all hours, and the smell of paint booths around infants.

yeah it's county wide, I don't know if it's in effect yet but it will be soon by the sound of it. Stuff like this always starts in Sacramento then goes to the rest of the state.

It's exactly like what you'd expect from an HOA, except now CA wants to be every resident's personal HOA. It's ridiculous but not that surprising.

Honestly though I don't know how they really plan to enforce such a thing, especially in smaller communities. As long as your friendly with your neighbors I'm sure it won't be much of an issue for most people.

Let’s worry about getting the kits tested and produced before we get this thread lost with all these emission state people.

Wow i just pulled it up and read it. I don't know the local situation down in Sac, but seems like a poorly written first draft at laws trying to address under the radar chop shops. "don't open up a mechanic shop in a residentially zoned area."

I'd be really surprised if that passes as currently written.

So back on topic, if not looking for max power, would the supercharger kit be considered more reliable and safer to run than the twin turbo setup?

How does forced induction affect an engine running atkinson cycle?

The “Atkinson cycle” on the engine isn’t a true Atkinson cycle, it’s simulated and can be turned on and off at (Mat’s) will

I don't want to flood @OVTune with questions, but I'm curious how the turbos get and return oil. Longevity is my main concern, and a roots blower is my preference for the low heat/low rpm characteristics, but these turbos sound pretty good, too.

Any reason for the twin scroll hot sides? Is that a typo or the only way those turbos come?

"if" you have to go in for emissions testing here (Denver) they will check for CEL, visual on required parts, vacuum gas cap test, and do a tail pipe emission test on the tread mill. They do have roadside test sites but there are no guarantees on passing. Crap shoot. Would have to be CARB approved to pass.

Well on the plus side, a centrifugal supercharger is fairly easy to install also take back to stock.

Can't wait to see some dyno graphs for the turbos and superchargers! awesome work OV! When my warranty ends, one of these is definitely in my future.
