Put some clear protective film where the rear hatch hits the tailgate or it will rub through your paint. It did that to my 2013 on the drive home before I threw on some protective film. I was able to buff out the marks. I was lucky when I had my cap on my 2016 it did not before I was able to add the film. However, the cap still managed to rub the cover of the bed (more of an issue on the 2016 as it has less bed rail cover) during normal driving.

    Otherwise congrats!

been a while been busy with work, family stuff...

went camping at sebago lake 2 weeks ago, got a spot with power, and water for $38 for 2 nights (I'm a state employee) we camped in my RTT. was approached by a few interested in my setup... and I felt kind of TINY compared to some of the monster RV's coming through there... I literally took up my trucks parking spot, and maybe 6ft next to the picnic table for my cooler and kitchen storage box (it broke the clamp handles off, need a new one) anyone know of a tub that will fit int eh tacoma's bed (19" in height or less) most I have found are 15" tall but nothing taller.. preferably in the 35gallon range size.. seen a few 55gal ones, but they're massive!!
    sebago lake.jpg

and aside from that I've been building this...

    deck 2.jpg
so i havent had much time to do any truck stuff... re-using all the old deck boards, and timbers. so far I'm only out screws, joist hangars, nails, and the camo hidden deck fastener system, couple of 4x4 posts, and about $100 in new bolts/washers/nuts... (about $400 total so far...)... hopefully I have enough decking boards..

My tailgate is 3m wrapped and it doesn’t hit the tailgate itself. Thanks for the heads up though

    Morning all.
Back for my one day in the office this week. Of course there's a stack of backlogged problems to work through

Also, I emptied out my cedar scrap box building these on Sunday:

    20190707_162600_resized_1.jpg

We had been using a crappy set of plastic Adirondacks from Home Depot, but the backrests already cracked (just bought them last spring), and rather than buy another set I figured I'd just build some.

Yes and no. I used to make them semi-regularly and sell them, when I was working part time. But I lost the blueprints when we moved, and with the 50+ hour weeks that I work I haven't been doing the 'build things and sell them' side gig for a while now. It's been probably 7 or 8 years since the last time I made one, but I was able free hand these from memory and just test fit & adjust the pieces where necessary as I went. Some of the cuts weren't as clean as they would have been when I was doing it regularly, but they all ended up fitting together okay. :notsure:
