Got a layer of top coat on tonight. Time to let it bake in the garage for a few days. Probably install this weekend.

Lol. No, not yet. Have only been welding 1/8” and it doesn’t draw enough power to flip the breaker. Will have to put in a dedicated circuit to weld 3/16” at full power

Not yet unfortunately. With our exchange student here, it’ll likely be August before I get time to play in the garage again. I’ll probably wait until then to buy the gas. Didn’t realize how busy we were going to be.

    Mornin' :pccoffee:

    From AlabamaWX

A broad low pressure area located over the northeastern Gulf of Mexico about 100 miles south-southwest of Apalachicola, Florida, is producing widespread cloudiness and disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Environmental conditions are conducive for development of this system, and a tropical depression is expected to form late today or Thursday while the low moves slowly westward across the northern Gulf of Mexico. An Air Force Reserve Unit reconnaissance aircraft is scheduled to investigate the disturbance this afternoon. This system could produce storm surge and tropical-storm- or hurricane-force winds across portions of the Louisiana, Mississippi, and Upper Texas coasts later this week, and interests there should closely monitor its progress. In addition, this disturbance has the potential to produce very heavy rainfall from the Upper Texas Coast to the Florida Panhandle. For more information, please see products issued by your local weather forecast office and the NOAA Weather Prediction Center.

For the Gulf Coast, the main impact will be heavy rain/flooding, rough surf/rip currents, gusty winds, and the possibility of a few brief waterspouts or tornadoes. I expect double red flags to be flying along he Central Gulf Coast tomorrow through at least Saturday because of the rip current danger. SPC has much of the coast in a “marginal risk” (level 1/5) through Friday because of the tornado/waterspout potential.

Rain amounts could exceed 5 inches between now and Saturday from Mobile and Gulf Shores to Pensacola and Destin, with 3-5 inches for Panama City Beach and Cape San Blas. But, there will be some good breaks in the rain along the way, and you might see the sun breaking out a few times.

For inland Alabama, a deep layer of tropical moisture will move northward and cover the region tomorrow through the weekend as the state stays on the wet side of the system. This will mean occasional showers and thunderstorms with lower heat levels. Highs will drop into the 80s, and some places could hold in the 70s Sunday as Barry moves northward just to the west. Like the coast, there will be breaks in the rain, of course, and you could see a little sun at times. Average rain amounts over the northern half of Alabama should be in the 2-3 inch range from now through Sunday.

NEXT WEEK: The weather gets back to routine summer pattern by mid-week with partly sunny days and “scattered, mostly afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms”. Highs rise back to around 90 over the latter half of the week. See the Weather Xtreme video for maps, graphics, and more details.

I'm not positive but what I think you're seeing on this radar loop below is birds leaving their roost.
