    I've done all of the MD portion, a few days worth, tops.
    Much of the PA part. There's a saying among AT hikers that PA is where hiking boots go to die.
    Rocks, lots and lots of rocks.
    Part of VA.

    But the real experience is to do it all in one go.
    Those who try it usually set off from Springer Mountain in GA in early Spring.
    And end at Mount Katahdin in ME in Autumn.
    If they can.
