We're at 7 for MJT right now on the Google doc...we should cap it after the next one for one group. But if more are interested and it's okay with the original group we can divide it into 2 smaller groups of ~5 each and space them out about 30 minutes (maybe more) from the start of the trail.
We can talk about that if it happens though

Added Nick @Docnessponster91 to the MJT list, that puts us at 8. He has 2 or 3 friends that might want to come too but aren't confirmed yet...I think the best thing to do would be to have everyone meet at the gas station and we can divide up the group when we get to the staging area

If it comes to that, I can lead one and maybe @Shmellmopwho could lead the other, if you're cool with that Ryan? Since you've done this trail before a handful of times

Just a reminder for all considering MJT, 4wd is required (lest we have another one of these threads (Late Night 2WD Recovery on MJT) and some armor (sliders mainly) is highly recommended...plan on having to use them.

There is another small group doing Gorman this weekend which is near MJT and has tons of easier trails, if anyone wants to come out and wheel but doesn't want to do MJT. Gorman is 2wd friendly

Few of us (I think) are planning on camping in Gorman, there's tons of space to camp there. Otherwise yeah that's gonna be one long day of driving

I didn't like sleeping in the bed when I had a Softtopper for that reason, couldn't hardly sit up. That and it got old having to empty the whole bed out at night so I could sleep in it.

I may get to that point too, but for now, a bed tent is what I can afford. :)

That MJT recovery was me. Lol. It sounded worst In the thread then it was. I was pulled up a few hills. I still would not recommend MJT for 2wd.

I remember that event pretty well, the real tragedy was that thread itself haha. Some people on TW get so self-righteous thinking they would do everything perfectly. Glad you guys were able to get out safely and in one piece!

Now you guys know how I feel when you post up rides in Cleghorn, Big Bear, etc.
Gorman is just a tad over 3 hour drive for me. Camp out Friday night, wake up fresh the next morning with no drive.

You're up in the Santa Barbara area right? I'd be open to coming out there to do some wheeling, I've heard there are some cool areas out there but I've never been (for offroading, I used to live up there like 13 years ago for school). I'm honestly pretty exhausted on a lot of the same trails out here lol. If you have any in mind up that way I'd make a weekend of it sometime
