hi guys new here but not new to having a Toyota or Tacoma.

so the problem I'm having is me door speakers are not working. I have a 2014 Tacoma 4 doors. and my front two speakers and driver side speakers do not work passenger rear speaker does. I thought that it was the speakers but when I went to change them out the new ones did not play either. any ideas why. could it be the wires or something in the head unit.

also when I bought the truck it was a certified used truck with 24k miles. I now have 110k on it. when the issue came up I took it in this was about 2 weeks ago and they found that I had after market speakers in it which were on there when I bought it. and even though I have a platinum warranty the dealership will not put oem speakers back in it. ( I did not put the aftermarket speakers in it, they were there when in bought it with out knowing).

Maybe an adjustment on the screen to turn on the front speakers. You may be setup on rear only.

First check that the fader is set to both front and rear. Usually the front radio outputs is hooked up to both the front dash and door speakers so you will lose both if the radio front output is faulty. Remove the radio to have access to the wiring harness. Take one of the front speaker and a speaker wire and hook it up to each speaker output to rule out a failing radio or faulty speaker wiring.

    faders first.

do you know if you have an amp?

If there is an amp and a factory HU, you probably have RCA/in line converters. you can swap those to see it the problem moves left to right. if it does, you know its probably the HU or the in line converters, since you know speakers aren't the problem. If it doesn't move you know it's most likely the AMP

if you don't have an amp and you swapped speakers and that didn't work, and faders are all set correctly, then i would look at the HU.

Good point. Definitely a possibility of a faulty amp output if he has one.

No amp but my amp going to the subs. The faders are center. I'll check the harness. The tweeters work tho, that's why i thought it was just the speaker but even new speakers didn't work.

The tweeters work? Then maybe the crossover is fried. How are your speakers wired?
