New Taco owner and First lifted Truck.... So far I have done minor Mods... Custom Grille, Changing Badges to Black, removing the air damn and adding some LED lighting. Yesterday I had it lifted (3"). Love the stance now and looking forward driving off road. Currently still on stock wheels and 266/65/17 tires. Looking for some feedback on wheels and tires (don't want to be cutting if I don't have to)? Any suggestions and pictures? Thoughts on offset?Lifted.jpg

Nice looking rig you're building there!

A 17x8 or 17x8.5 wheel with an offset around 0 is common. If you don't want to perform any modifications such as the cab mount, go 265/70R-17.

You can fit 285/70R-17 but you're going to need to modify the cab mount.

I'd look into a black wheel in the same size as stock but with less offset or maybe even a negative offset. I would also jump up a in tire size to a 265/70/17 like Discount Tire above mentioned. You'd be surprised by how much such a little tweak will make.

3 inch lift and more aggressive tires
All, question from a novice. I recently lifted my 2017 PRO 3 inches and added new ridge grapplers. I loved the new look. It definitely felt different while driving on road. My question is...if Toyota tunes my Fox shocks from the factory to match my wheels, what impact does changing wheel size (and thus weight) have on the ride/performance? Truth is, I did this on my 2017 PRO but it has been totaled and I may buy a new one soon. The reviews on the 2020 talk about the lighter rims and how the shocks and springs have been re-tuned due to the change - that all made me wonder what I should be considering when making changes to wheels/ tires. I am not mechanically gifted so looking for some expertise from y’all.

I bought NITTO Ridge Grapplers and love them. One amazing thing about them is how quiet they are on the road. I can honestly say I was hard pressed to hear a difference from my stock tires.
